At ACM@ONU our official joining criteria is "The individual is permitted membership if they are ether enrolled in the College of Engineering (i.e., Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Education, or Mechanical Engineering) or the individual has a sufficient understanding of computing machinery or a desire to learn about computing machinery which will be decided at the discretion of the current ACM student council group" which in short translates to everyone is welcome!
It’s as easy as showing up to one of our events! We don’t require an official ACM student membership for the majority of our events except for events where we are interacting with outside entities such as other collegiate institutes or official ACM competitions like the ICPC. An official membership can be obtained from ACM.org. We Look Forward to seeing you soon!
